Smart idea

Dr. C.J. Abraham, with over 50 years experience in polymers and safety, invented FORCEFIELD PROTECTIVE HEADGEAR™  because of his interest in reducing impact forces to the brains of young children, teenagers and adults. He patented a line of versatile and attractive safety products so we would want to wear them.  He chose an impact absorbing and dissipating polymer capable of reducing the severity of an impact significantly while remaining thin.  He made them multi-functional to give us more reasons to wear them.

Safety Certified PPE

When looking to minimize injuries and when choosing to make headgear voluntary or mandatory, coaches, teachers, parents, health care professionals and athletes use discretion and good judgment to evaluate the benefits of certified headgear meeting safety standards. Forcefield is certified CEII and ASTM by INSPEC International, the world’s leading independent organization for the testing & certification of personal protective equipment.

When it comes to protecting your brain, a certification mark on the product from a governing body is a must.

Are we doing all we can to prevent head injuries?

Thankfully, most blows to the head aren’t dangerous. Falls rarely cause concussions. In day to day life or playing non-collision sports, it’s usually without a fall or knock to the head.

Yet, concern over head safety continues to grow. Why? No matter how well trained or careful we are, accidents happen. The risk is real. Even if it’s not required, adding head protection is now remarkably easy and affordable. Product Details

Soft fabric headbands are filled with a pliable, impact-absorbing polymer.  These headbands protect the high-risk impact zones at the front, temporal and back of the head. You can now easily enhance your safety and that of your loved ones during non-collision sports and high-risk activities.
Be better protected , proactive , prepared .

Forcefield® headgear is engineered to deliver impact protection for both contact and non-collision sports.

It is important to note that this gear does not replace a helmet. Instead, the multi-patented design is widely accepted for sports and high-risk activities where helmets are not worn.

While lightweight and thin, the polymer inside every band is thick enough to reduce force by over 50% for adults and up to 80% for children.

This allows everyone to prioritize safety without compromise.

Features an innovative breathable airflow system that effectively ventilates moisture, ensuring your comfort.

Additionally, this system enhances the moisture-wicking capabilities of the neoprene Ultra™ headbands and improves the moisture-absorbing properties of the cotton terry Protective Sweatbands™

Forcefield® gear has been rigorously tested to meet CE II 89/686/EEC and ASTM F2439 safety standards, ensuring outstanding performance you can depend on.

We are licensed and authorized to sell only genuine Forcefield® headgear, guaranteeing that every item you receive is of the highest quality and made to last.

You can choose between two styles (Ultra Protective Headband™ or Forcefield Protective Sweatband™) and various colors.

Additionally, with our free customization option, create spirit wear that is one-of-a-kind, truly personal. Added safety and easy to wear.

You won’t be surprised to learn that Forcefield® is accepted and approved for use by leagues, schools, clubs and medical facilities around the world.

Ultra™ headbands bend to conform to the shape of your head. They wrap comfortably, feature a smooth, moisture-wicking neoprene finish and include a strong hook-and-loop closure. They only need 2-3 cm of overlap to ensure a secure fit. Once you have sized the headband snugly, it has enough flexibility for easy removal.

Plush sweatbands are made of absorbent cotton terry and stretch gently to fit snugly.

The outer layer is twice as absorbent as an athletic sweatband.

They help keep sweat out of your eyes, keep your hair in place, and provide extra protection for your head.

Protective Headbands by Forcefield® available at ForcefieldHeadbands.uk, designed for athletes and active individuals to provide comfortable, secure protection during various high-risk activities.

What’s everyone saying about our protective headgear?

Big fan. I never wore any protective headgear until last season. I have become a big fan of this product and now wear it all the time. Gary L. Curler

Less worry. The band satisfies Nick’s need for style and my need to sleep at night. Bob L. Soccer Dad

So comfortable. I forget I’m wearing it. Bev V. Curling Coach

Break tradition. Every week I hear of concussions on the ice and want to change the culture of no headgear in figure skating. Carey D. Ice Dancer

Extra Protection. Helmets and headbands do not prevent concussions. Their cushioning effect reduces the degree of kinetic energy directed to the head and the brain; an extra layer of protection from a glancing blow. Dr. Brian Hunt, Neurosurgeon, Concussion Education and Awareness Committee Expert, ThinkFirst BC co-Founder

Good looking. We looked into martial arts helmets but mom won’t wear them because of the way they look. This is a great alternative. Candace C, daughter

The results were amazing. Last year I ordered my first shipment of Forcefield headbands and required my Frosh team to wear the headbands during all practices and matches. The results were amazing. James Fulwiler, Dublin High School, Men’s Varsity Soccer Head Coach

Stays on your head. Tried a toque version but it kept riding up on my head. Felt like it would flip off if I fell backwards. My use is for curling. Cline D, curler

Recommended. I have been active in talking to coaches about head and neck injuries for the past twenty five years and I have been recommending the FF Headband to all. Alan B. Ashare (1938-2024), MD, Chairman of the Safety & Protective Equipment Committee of USA Hockey,  author, “Returning to play after concussion”

Huge problem. Anything to prevent head injury is welcome. In addition to reducing impact, this headband will prevent hematomas, lacerations and scrapes, all good to reduce head injuries. I am glad to help spread the word. Dr. Jeff Weisbrot, MD, FRCP(C), Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Behavioral Counseling Medical Education Specialist, Private Practitioner, Pediatric. Director of Medical Education, MacKenzie Health. Published Author on Child Care.

Not crazy bulky. I bought this for my 4 year old son when he plays soccer, mostly to protect him from those inadvertent knocks when the kids run into each other but will help with headers when he gets into competitive leagues. I received the headband 3 days earlier than expected and after opening it I was happy to see it’s not bulky and dumb looking. It’s really not much thicker than a normal sweatband but still has good padding. The small is going to be a good size for him with room to grow. Dave M, Soccer Dad

Can’t be too cautious. I know the value of our brain. Any bump, hits or other trauma must be avoided. Brenda C. Registered Nurse

Worth the money. Our little son had so many head bumps while learning to walk. Most of the time he was bumping his forehead. This protective headgear eased his head bumps a lot. It’s not as heavy and clumsy as a helmet, but it protects the most vulnerable part of the forehead. Darryl L., Toddler’s Dad

Thinner than expected.  It is light weight, not bad looking and seems to stay in place with out sliding fairly well. Lee M. Figure Skater

Comfortable and perfect for ice skaters. My granddaughter wears this headband for ice skating and finds it more comfortable than a helmet. Mary L., Grandmother

Hit my head more than once curling. Hopefully this will keep me safer. Cute little band, much better price than a curling stores. Janice H., Curler

Comfortable protection. The band fits snuggly and is very comfortable. Heather M. Curler

Forcefield helps. I love everything about playing soccer except being hit in the head with the ball. Trinity L., Student

Great for falls. I have purchased 3 headbands and I have to say they are awesome. My wife has balance issues and tends to fall a lot. My wife was very sceptical at first and worried about how it might look. After a few falls she now wears it when we go out and sometimes even in the house. I think what really convinced her is when she fell hard on the kitchen floor. I helped her up and she was completely fine. Also they look great. April M., Husband

They really work. I have tested this headband on my own players at the very top of Swedish fotboll and want to recommend their use. It is in my opinion a very urgent matter and they really work. After a week or so the player is used to the head guard and is not hindered when playing with it. Mikael Klotz, REHAB Doctor Hammarby Fotboll, Physiotherapist, Chairman SFSF, Physiotherapists in Swedish Soccer

Lower the risk. Manny B. and his sons think headbands under their toques make their paper route ‘complete the street’ competitions less risky on icy Winnipeg MB winter afternoons.

Subconcussive protection. My daughter headed the ball at least 8 times last weekend over 4 games. This is the reason I looked you up: BTD in Soccer. I am going to talk with our team about ordering for everyone. Heidi N. Soccer Mom

Injury Preparedness. I know there is risk of concussion and even permanent brain damage when playing fast paced sports like my favorite, basketball. I wear a mouthguard and kneepads and a headband in case I take a tumble. Anna N, Neurosurgeon’s daughter

Falls at work. Maintaining equipment, buildings, fencing and caring for cattle pose safety risks on the farm. I like to reduce the risk of a head injury from a fall. Edward S., Farmer

Great first line of defence. I use this for safety when curling, however, we have friends who have a 5 year old who fell and had a concussion. I showed her this headband and it fits him perfectly. Its a great first line of defense, especially for kids. Elizabeth, Curler

I feel safer. Je me sens en plus en sécurité. Lise B., curler

It’s important. It’s important to protect yourself in sport. Kelsey R,  University basketball recruit

I want to protect my brain. My soccer instinct is to head the ball, it’s part of the fun of the game. My brain is what is going to take me forward so I wants to protect it. Taya J.,U16 center midfielder and SWO Storm U Tour Team

I want to set an example. I feel it’s most important to protect my brain while being thrown high into the air, tumbling at lightning speeds, and sharing the floor with 20 fast-moving teammates.  Stephanie K Competitive cheerleader

Head protection is non-negotiable… even after CanSkate level 5. Mary E, Figure Skating Mom

Accepted way to improve safety. Concussion is a very real risk for my high school curling team and I would like to help mitigate this risk in a way my students will accept and wear. Scott C, Curling Coach

An important preventative measure. Care should always be taken to avoid any brain trauma and to minimize the risk of a greater injury. Early injury detection plays a key role. Taking preventative measures, like wearing headgear, is also important. Harry Zarins (1951-2016), Executive Director (2008-2016), Brain Injury Canada

Slippery when wet. I’m concerned about icy sidewalks when walking my dog in the winter. Marg C, Senior Dogwalker

Stays on your head. Tried a toque version but it kept riding up on my head. Felt like it would flip off if I fell backwards. My use is for curling. Probably it would reduce the force of impact or spread it out but you still might get a concussion. Dave C.

Accidents happen. You can never be too good an athlete to be free from the risk of a fall. It’s especially important for seniors to wear a head protector while curling because the ice is hard and if there’s nothing between your head and the ice in a fall your skull will absorb all the impact. Also, since many seniors take blood thinners, there’s the added risk that a blow to the head could result in a hemorrhage. I’ve seen many falls over the years, even by a high-level instructor, also when putting away rocks after an end and a rock is sent to someone’s feet (bowling them over), when concentrating on sweeping and your ankle turns, the gripper loses contact with the ice and your feet go out from under you. I’ve even seen sweepers get tangled with each other, lose their balance and fall. Alan M., Veteran Curler
